Over the past few weeks, we have been actively engaged in various activities in collaboration with our partner, HIVOS. Their support has been instrumental in enhancing our capacities across several areas.

Training on Governance, Leadership, and Organizational Management

HIVOS extended an extensive training session on governance, leadership, and organizational/financial management, benefiting us and four other partner organizations in Uganda. This two-day training event was held at Protea Hotel in Kampala, providing a platform to enhance our organizational skills and governance structures. The training was highly practical and very engaging for participants. Our finance manager and project officer were among the participants at the workshop

Simultaneously, HIVOS organized a two-day learning event in Kampala, bringing together all the Uganda implementing partners. This event was an invaluable opportunity for us to share our best practices and learn from the experiences of other partners across Uganda. The exchange of knowledge and ideas during this event has significantly enriched our approaches and systems.

Further strengthening our capacity, HIVOS supported an exchange learning program in Malawi. Our Team Leader, Charles Tumwebaze, visited Action Hope Malawi to observe and learn about their diverse programs and best practices in implementing the Regional SRHR fund. Action Hope is a grass root organization targeting key population in Malawi enhancing their advocacy skills and agency. Currently, it is implementing the Regional SRHR fund in Nkhata-Bay and Salima districts. This visit provided critical insights and practical knowledge that we aim to integrate into our own programs.

We are immensely grateful for the capacity-strengthening opportunities provided by HIVOS. These activities have enhanced our capabilities in so many ways, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration to drive further growth and impact.
