On February 14, 2024 TAHI spear headed a press conference on Uganda’s menstrual health crisis. There were several reports revealing girls resorting to use of soil for period management. This distressing issue demanded collective action from menstrual actors, and we took upon us to rally our coleagues in the space to make a statement.

Call for Action: Develop a national policy on menstrual health to tackle diverse challenges, adopt a multi-sectoral approach, finance the distribution of existing menstrual health materials to schools and communities, and subsidizing menstrual product costs.
