“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team“-Phil Jackson

With support from Yplus Global TAHI convened a two days workshop with grantees under the Her Voice Fund project to build their capacities in various areas including aligning their 2025 advocacy road and enhancing their organization visibility. The Her Voice Fund grantees in Uganda include; Women with A Mission, Integrated Disability Women Activities, and KWAK thrive youth Centre.

The workshop served as a platform for grantees to consolidate their work plans, establish a collective advocacy strategy, map out strategic networks, and set up an impact tracker. We introduced project objectives and align priorities, as well as stakeholder engagement sessions to ensure collaboration with policymakers, community leaders, and AGYW.

Additionally, workshop meetings focused on finalizing logistics, reviewing work plans, and allocating roles to enhance efficiency in implementation. A crucial part of the coordination process involved planning sessions with the HER Voice Fund ambassador, who played a key role in shaping the project’s advocacy efforts.

Meetings with the ambassador centered on developing impactful advocacy messages, integrating campaigns into the broader strategy, and identifying effective platforms for community engagement.

Further discussions emphasized aligning individual grantees’ work plans to optimize project outcomes and ensure policy influence. The workshop provided a strong foundation, which fostered knowledge sharing, streamlined efforts, and enhanced the collective impact of the HER Voice Fund project.
