Together Alive Health Initiative is a youth-led organization dedicated to advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for young people, including those living with HIV and people with disabilities. We work to empower adolescents and young people through inclusive, youth-centered programming and advocacy.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Programs Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of SRHR and a strong background in youth programming. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that positively impacts young people across Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of SRHR and youth-focused programs.
  • Coordinate with partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries to ensure impactful program delivery.
  • Develop concept notes, proposals, and donor reports aligned with TAHI’s strategic objectives.
  • Ensure programs are inclusive and responsive to the needs of young people, especially those with disabilities and PLHIV.
  • Support youth-led advocacy initiatives and capacity-building efforts.
  • Conduct regular field visits and contribute to data collection, learning, and documentation.
  • Represent TAHI at relevant forums, meetings, and networks.
  • Support the integration of disability inclusion in all programming activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ugandan national.
  • A degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in SRHR and youth programming.
  • Proven understanding of inclusive approaches, especially related to adolescents and young people with disabilities and young people living with HIV.
  • Strong project management, communication, and proposal writing skills.
  • Ability to work virtually and effectively
  • Must be below 35 years
